Siemens Korea Digital Industries Signed MOU with Samjong KPMG for Cooperation in the Field of Industrial Cyber-security and New Technology Research

Synergy effect expected through the collaboration between Siemens’ IT-OT convergence expertise in process industries and Samjong KPMG’s competence in global consulting

SEOUL--(Korea Newswire)--Digital Industries (DI) at Siemens Korea (Siemens Ltd. Seoul·SLS) announced on the 4th that it has signed a business agreement with Samjong KPMG to strengthen the OT (operation technology) security business and ICS (industrial control system) new technology research cooperation at Siemens Korea headquarters in Chungjeong-ro, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.

Thomas Schmid, Head of Digital Industries at Siemens Korea, Dae-gil Jung, Head of consulting service in Samjong KPMG, and officials from both companies attended the ceremony. According to the agreement, the two companies will conduct joint research on OT·ICS security, information protection, and digital convergence environment, and exchange expertise on control and protection technology and global compliance. Mutual cooperation is also under way to jointly promote new OT·ICS security technology and consulting commercialization.

Siemens, a global powerhouse in electrical engineering and electronics headquartered in Berlin and Munich, Germany, is a global leader in providing integrated solutions from product design to logistics and services for a smart manufacturing environment. Through this agreement, Digital Industries at Siemens Korea intends to cooperate with Samjong KPMG to effectively provide customers with optimal OT security solutions and services that have been verified for safety.

Samjong KPMG's Cyber Security Service Team is a business process-based security consulting organization established in 2013 and is composed of security experts in various fields such as information security, digital technology security, OT security, and cloud. It provides integrated information security services to customers and companies by creating expertise in establishing an information security management system including enterprise security analysis, planning, design, execution, and monitoring.
