Prior to obtaining these positions, he was a clinical assistant professor at the Yonsei University College of Medicine from 2008 to 2009. In addition to his primary roles, Dr. Song has contributed articles and scientific papers to professional journals and chapters to books.

Dr. Ji Hun Song began his career as a student at Yonsei University, receiving a Doctor of Medicine in 1999. He later returned to the school as a research fellow from 2007 to 2008. He concluded his studies in 2016, earning a Doctor of Philosophy from Yonsei University. Dr. Song is certified as an ophthalmology specialist by the Medical Licensing Ministry of Health and Welfare.

A respected voice in the industry, Dr. Song has been active with a number of professional organizations. He has served as an academician and editorial board member of the Korean Uveitis Society and the Korean Retina Society. He is also a member of the Korean Society for Clinical Electrophysiology and Vision, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Throughout his career, Dr. Song has been recognized for his contributions. The American Academy of Ophthalmology gave him the International Ophthalmologist Education Award and the International Scholar Award. He has been featured in numerous honors publications, including the 33rd edition of Who’s Who in the World, published in 2016.
