Hyosung Chairman Cho Hyun-Joon Supports Rehabilitation Programs for the Families with Disabled Children
Hyosung executives and employees and their families took an overnight trip with disabled children and their families on Oct. 13. The trip was part of a rehabilitation program jointly run by Hyosung and the Purme Foundation for special-needs kids and teenagers. Hyosung Chairman Cho Hyun-Joon has sponsored the rehabilitation of disabled children for six years from 2013. He has supported various programs to help the whole families with disabled children spend enjoyable time together.
Ten families of Hyosung executives and employees travelled to Chuncheon, Gangwon Province with as many families of disabled children. Each Hyosung family paired up with a family of children with disabilities. The families with special-needs children normally had a hard time going on family vacations, but through the event, all of them - parents, disabled children and their brothers and sisters -- had a good time on the fall trip. The families of Hyosung executives and employees spent time with the families with disabled children and related to one another.
“The trip was a break from my tough daily routines,” said a mother of a disabled child who participated in the family travel, “We could have a nice trip thanks to their greatest care about everything, such as lodging, leisure activities and food, to see to it that children have fun.”
Hyosung Chairman Cho Hyun-Joon has sponsored the rehabilitation of disabled children for six years from 2013. He has supported various programs to help the whole families with disabled children spend enjoyable time together. Chairman Cho has emphasized that psychotherapy and special education are important for siblings of disabled children who may feel isolated from their parents who must care for handicapped children, and he has sponsored an array of programs to that effect. Cho plans to continue supporting families with disabled children through Children’s Day celebrations and family camps.
